Deadly Orange County house party

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

One person is dead after a house party erupted in gunfire Sunday morning on Charleen Place near Silver Star Road in Pine Hills. At least six people are hurt and it could be as many as eight people who suffered gunshot wounds according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The first call came into the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 5:45 a.m. Deputies say they received several 911 calls about gunfire erupting at the house party where were told more than 30 people were attending. Investigators suspect there were also multiple shooters firing weapons at the home.

Sheriff Detectives identified the victim who died as 24-year-old Okeem Jarvis. Investigators say he was not the owner of the home. Neighbors say the house on Charleen Place was a frequent place those in the neighborhood went to have fun on Saturdays.

Fox 35 counted more than 30 bullet shell casings on the street. Neighbors describe hearing more than 30 gunshots this morning. Investigators spent hours interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence from a large crime scene.  

The Orange County Sheriffs Office is asking anyone with information to contact the Sheriff's Office or the a Crimeline.
