CLERMONT, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

The Clermont Police Department says a sinkhole caused a neighborhood street to be shutdown Monday morning.

Officials say the sinkhole opened up on a street within the Hartwood Preserve neighborhood in the area of Peaceful Valley Drive and Powderhorn Drive around 2:00am.

Investigators say the hole is 15 feet in diameter and about 6 feet deep.

Officials say it is not affecting any homes and is at the end of a cul-de-sac.

Clermont Officers say a few units will help direct traffic around the hole before crews fill it later in the day.
