Orange Co. Deputies: Tourist robbed at gunpoint outside Orlando hotel

Posted: Updated:
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says a tourist was robbed at gunpoint outside the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando hotel on International Drive late Sunday night.

Deputies say the Scottish tourist was walking from the parking lot to his room when two men appeared and demanded his wallet and cell phone at gun point.

Officials say the victim complied and was not hurt.

Deputies say there is no evidence at this time to connect this crime to the recent rash of hotel front desk robberies that occurred in recent months.
