Pizza Studio: Blending Art With Good Food

Posted: Updated:
Los Angeles, CA -

This week in Gina's People, we are featuring Pizza Studio in Los Angeles. Not only can you create your own delicious pizza, artists also can create their own art and make some quick dough.

At Pizza Studio, starving artists are encouraged to create their masterpieces, hang them on the wall and sell them to the public.  Artist Alejandro Chavez says, "I've sold two pieces here. It was really rewarding to see my art be sold."

Chavez is not the only artist making a little cash. At the Pizza Studio on Figueroa  across from USC, more than $4,000 dollars worth of art has been sold since the place opened last year.  The minds behind Pizza Studio decided not to charge any commissions. They say, "It makes us feel great about what we're doing and it makes our guests feel great.  It's a win, win for everybody."

If you would like to recommend someone, a business or an organization making difference in the community, wether it be big or small, let Gina know.  Every monday, she recognizes our great FOX 11 viewers.
