Rosalind Avenue will fully reopen between Anderson Street and South Street on Monday, following four days of road work to accommodate construction of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
The full closure of Rosalind Avenue allowed for the current asphalt pavement surface to be replaced with steel reinforced concrete pavement. The city said the road improvements were necessary to ensure a reliable pavement for trailer trucks entering and exiting the arts center loading dock via Rosalind Avenue.
The full closure allowed the work to be done quickly, efficiently and ahead of schedule. The roadway was originally scheduled to reopen on Saturday.
