Orange Blossom Trail shut down near Orlando as firefighters battle large tire fire

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Orange County firefighters are responding to a multiple alarm fire at an auto body along the 2200 Block of S. Orange Blossom Trail.

Officials say a pile of tires is burning and heavy smoke can be seen from miles around.  Ladder trucks are responding as crews are attempting to keep to the fire contained with water and foam.   Representatives from Orange County Emergency Management and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection are also on scene.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Those traveling through the area are advised to find an alternate route as S. Orange Blossom Trail is closed in both directions from W. Kaley Ave. to 25th Street.

Firefighters are presently investigating the cause of the fire.
