Luxury Manhattan restroom for $8 a day

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

As a reporter in the field, I can have a hard time finding a clean bathroom or even a bathroom. There are always public toilets, like the men's room at Penn Station if you don't mind people taking baths, and washing their clothing in the sinks.

With that in mind, Wayne Parks has created a members-only day storage and luxury restroom facility called Posh Stow and Go.

Like a clean roll of toilet paper, it's everything rolled up in one: Private bathroom stalls, lockers, and even a lounge.

But why would people pay $8 to use them, plus a $15 annual membership when you can pop into one of Manhattan's many bars, restaurants or hotels?

I showed the pictures of the Posh Stow and Go to some folks to see if they would use it. At around 2,500 square feet, they would bigger than some people's apartments.

The 8 bucks does cover a day's use from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

It's not a done deal yet, though.

Parks is still working on getting the leases for locations near Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal.

So, until these posh potties up and running, you'll just have to hold it.

Police are responding to the Brooklyn Bridge where two whitewashed American flags have been raised. It is not clear who raised the flags or why. The American flags that are normally up at the bridge appear to have been removed. Several officers scaled the bridge and lowered one of the flags at about 11 a.m. and the second about 20 minutes later.

Cumberbatch only spoke during the brief hearing to say he understood the charge. His attorney said they wouldn't comment out of respect for the police officer's family.
