Justin Bieber Rejects Plea Deal

Posted: Updated:

Pop star Justin Bieber was reportedly offered a plea deal in his DUI and resisting arrest case by the Florida State Attorney, but the singing sensation has decided not to accept it.

Sources close to Bieber say he won't accept any plea that has probation or random drug testing.

The prosecutors offered to drop DUI and resisting arrest charges if Bieber pleaded no contest to reckless driving , submitted to random drug tests, and regularly attended alcohol education classes. One of the alcohol classes would have had to have a victim panel where relatives of DUI victims shared their stories.

Along with the classes, the 19 year old would have had to install an ignition interlock device in his vehicle to detect alcohol and complete at least 40 hours of community service.

TMZ reports that the random drug test would last from 6 to 9 months. During this time, Justin Bieber would be required to submit his travel plans to the court and pay for all of the drugs tests.
