Two People Injured After Building Collapse In Logan

Posted: Updated:

Two people were injured Sunday evening after an abandoned building collapsed at the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Ogontz Avenue.

The building collapsed around 8:00 p.m. just as two people that were walking by. They were taken to Einstein Medical Center for observation and treatment.

Neighbors say this structure appeared to buckle for several weeks. They were not surprised at all that the building collapsed.

"I just walked past it today trying to catch the bus and I'm like oh that jawn is going to fall and it fell," said Sarai Green.

City inspection records show a history of violations including lack of exterior repair.

L&I crews are also checking the property record, and they say structure will eventually be torn down.
