SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

The Seminole County Sheriff's helicopter helped capture a suspect who was fleeing from deputies down I4 early Wednesday morning.

Officials say it all started when the suspect refused to pull over after allegedly running through stop signs in Sanford.

The suspect vehicle got onto I4 and turned off its lights as it weaved through traffic.

Officials say the driver pulled over past the State Road 4-36 exit and jumped over a fence.

He was arrested shortly after.

Officials say he will be charged with fleeing and eluding and drug charges. Deputies say marijuana was found in his abandoned SUV.
