Officials say a home owned by State Representative Linda Stewart on Barcelona Street in Postal City was raided Wednesday morning.
Homeland Security officials say one suspect was arrested on a weapons charge and will make a first appearance Wednesday afternoon in Federal Court.
The FBI says they assisted, but was not the lead agency on the raid.
Rep. Stewart says she began eviction proceedings against the renters, and she's not the target of the investigation. Rep. Stewart says in the last three months the tenants living here could only pay the $900 per month rent once.
"I couldn't be happier," said Stewart. "I thought they were squatters. There were just a bunch of people just coming and staying in the house, and I had to get rid of them somehow. I do not condone that."
