Man Comes Back To Life After Being Pronounced Dead, Coroner Says

Posted: Updated:

A Mississippi man stuns his doctors and family when he comes back to life from the dead.

A coroner pronounced 87-year-old Walter Williams dead on Wednesday.

His family had said their goodbyes and was preparing to make funeral arrangements. They had left his body at the hospital and were headed home after a tearful day.

Then, the family gets a call at home. A family member describes what happened next.

"The mortician said something wasn't right. His leg started moving," said daughter Martha Lewis. Then Williams woke up and embraced his family again. After the initial excitement, the family paused to reflect.

"Seemed like he had more life in him again, and then we had just stopped talking, and he told us ‘what did you all stop talking for?'" recalled Lewis.

His family is calling Williams' second chance at life a gift from God.

"I don't know how much longer he's going to grace us and bless us with his presence, but hallelujah, we thank Him right now!" said Lewis.

According to reports, doctors have no medical explanation for it and the coroner calls it a "miracle."
