A California man is outraged by his major loss at a Las Vegas casino over Super Bowl weekend.
Mark Johnston claims he was so drunk he couldn't even read his cards. He lost over $500,000 at the Downtown Grand Casino.
He is suing them for lending him money and serving him drinks despite the fact that he was visibly drunk. For reference, it is illegal in Nevada to allow "visibly intoxicated" people to gamble.
"It's certainly an extraordinary case," attorney John Lyttle said. "This is not a story that I've ever heard before, where someone was blackout intoxicated where they couldn't read their cards, and yet a casino continued to serve them drinks and issue them more markers."
The 52-year-old man claims he was so drunk he blacked out and didn't realize how much money he'd gambled away until the next day.
