A Volusia County court judge gave Ebony Wilkerson 1.2 million dollars bail at a court hearing Saturday morning.
Wilkerson drove her van into the Atlantic Ocean with her three children inside.
Ebony Wilkerson was represented by seventh judicial court assistant public defender Nora Hall. Hall asked the judge for a reasonable bail because she said Wilkerson has family members in Volusia County and did not appear to be a flight risk.
The assistant state attorney told the court Wilkerson was a major flight risk, and said he feared she was a threat to herself, others, and her unborn child.
Wilkerson is facing three counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of child abuse.
Wilkerson is accused of driving into the Atlantic Ocean Tuesday evening to try to kill herself and her children. Sheriff Ben Johnson says Wilkerson told the kids before she drove into the ocean, to go to sleep and that they were going to a "safer place".
The children, ages 3, 9 and 10, were all rescued seconds before the minivan they were in was sucked into the ocean.
