Police are looking for a woman who walked out of a hotel on Staten Island with a replica of Judy Garland's ruby slippers from 'The Wizard of Oz.'

The sparkly slippers are valued at $2,500. The robbery occurred on March 3 at approximately 2 a.m. at 1100 South Avenue.

The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel with the shoes that were inside a display case, said police.

A photo taken from surveillance footage was released by police on Friday. It clearly shows a blonde woman wearing a gray scarf and light colored jacket carrying items in both hands.

The iconic slippers from which the stolen pair were modeled were worn by 'Dorothy' played by legendary actress Judy Garland in one of Hollywood's most well known films.

Police ask anyone with information about the theft to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers at any of the following:

From coffee shops in Brooklyn to restaurants in Manhattan, we find speakeasies standing out by blending in. When people in Bushwick want a green machine juice blend they visit Leticia Castillo's Owl Juice Pub. But first they must find the owl. "We been doing fine without a sign," Castillo says.

A Brooklyn woman who is seven months pregnant released photos that she said show an NYPD officer putting her in a choke hold as she was being arrested for grilling on the sidewalk outside her home.  It's the latest in a string of reported choke holds by police officers. The move is not allowed under NYPD policy.  Miller was expected to meet with Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson on Tuesday to seek charges against police.
