Cronut creator brings cookie milk shot to NYC

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - The French mastermind behind the doughnut-croissant hybrid called the Cronut emerges from his SoHo lab with his latest bite-sized brainchild, and I happily volunteered as his guinea pig.

Dominique Ansel's Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shot is a warm, gooey cookie cup that gives way to a sweet, fatty milk center.

Hundreds of cookie monsters flocked to Ansel's cozy bakery Friday to try the highly anticipated confection.

Half of the fun is deciding how you want to devour this indulgent little treat. You can shoot the milk and then eat the cookie. Or sip the liquid and snack on the outside like I did. And surprisingly the cookie doesn't get mushy because a coating inside the cookie keeps the milk from being absorbed.

Any way you cut it's a brilliant re-imagining of a childhood favorite that goes beyond gimmick.
