Spring Makeup Trends

Posted: Updated:

Spring is just around the corner and it's time to revamp your makeup routine. Celebrity makeup artist Chauntal Lewis from Blushington was here showing us the top 3 trends in makeup this spring for your eyes, lips, and face.

At Blushington, they recreate popular trends of the season for clients like Ashley Benson, Ashley Greene, and beauty-lovin' gals in LA and OC!

Eyes: Pop of Bright Blue Eye Color

We've seen this on the runways and red carpet this season.

A bold peacock or turquoise shade works well on most skin tones.

Be sure to follow the shape of your eye when applying - don't extend past the natural curve of For a more wearable look, use a colored eyeliner along your lower lash line.

Lips: Bold Orange Lip

From Lupita Nyong'o to Kate Bosworth – celebrities are rocking this look in place of the classic red lip this Spring.

Apply concealer on top of bare, moisturized lips to create a base for lip color.

Choose a matte, poppy hue (red orange) for most skin tones.

Use a lip brush to apply - don't forget the corners of your mouth, they show when you speak and you want to make sure the color is evenly applied on the whole lip.

Dip your fingertip in the color and dab over your mouth in light touches to keep the lip looking fresh like you've just been kissed.

Face: Contour Like a Pro

Whether you're born with them or not, chiseled cheekbones are a beautiful finishing touch to any makeup look this Spring.

Choose a bronzer that is the color of your skin when you have a natural tan – any darker and it will look muddy!

Lightly trace the outline of your face from your temples, under your cheekbones, and down to your jawline.
