The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the bodies of three shooting victims were discovered in a wooded area near Curry Ford Road and Excalibur Court on Tuesday afternoon.
The victims, two men and one woman, are described as transients. They have been identified as Richard Button, 65, Todd Lemme, 57, and Deborah Watson, 54.
"They lived in a type of barn, like horse stalls, and they each had a stall," said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jane Watrel.
No arrests have been made, and authorities are searching for two men for questioning in this investigation, 60-year-old David Emmons and 47-year-old Leonard Lewis.
"I don't like the outcome. I don't understand," said Bill Simmons, who lives just a few yards away from the wooded area where the bodies were discovered. "If there's a murderer running loose, I hope they get to the bottom of it, that's for sure."
Authorities were first alerted to suspicious activity and shots fired on Monday night.
"Units responded, searched the immediate area, tried to find the location of the shots fired and nothing was found at that time," said Captain Angelo Nieves with the Sheriff's Office.
The bodies were found on Tuesday morning by a friend of the victims. Capt. Nieves said they are conducting a review to determine why deputies did not find the bodies until the following morning.
"That's all part of the investigative process, to see how long they were out here, how long they looked, what areas they were looking at," he added.
Members of an Emergency Response Team spent most of Tuesday morning and afternoon searching the woods, looking for clues.
