Blue Line temporarily halted on Near West Side

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Blue Line trains were temporarily stopped in both directions on the Near West Side due to "police activity," officials said.

Specifics were not immediately available, but trains traveling to O'Hare International Airport and Forest Park were stopped at the Illinois Medical District station about 9:45 p.m., according to the CTA.

Trains were back moving as of 10 p.m., according to the CTA.

The Chicago Police Department's office of News Affairs did not immediately comment.
