Twitter Celebrates 8 Years: What's Your First Tweet?

Twitter is celebrating their eight birthday, and to help celebrate they want their users to reminisce back to the day they tweeted for the very first time.  Using Twitter's Discover tool, not only can you find your tweet, but you can check out the first tweets of anyone else who has a public Twitter profile--including your favorite celebrity, chef, politician or family member.

When we checked all of our FOX 11 anchors and reporters, we were surprised to find that many were skeptical of Twitter's success, some had spelling errors (Sorry Rick Dickert!), and others were tweeting on news stories they were covering. Out of all of them though, the favorite seems to be Steve Edwards who meticulously thought out his "one step for man" concept as his first tweet. Check out the gallery above to see the first tweets of all our staff here at FOX 11, Good Day LA and Studio 11 LA.

Look for the hashtag #FirstTweet on Twitter for the next couple days to see what others are tweeting about their first tweet!
