Frances Fisher: I Believe In Miracles

Posted: Updated:

Frances Fisher says it's perfectly natural that her character on "Resurrection" would immediately accept that a son who's been dead for 32 years could return.

She says it's part of a mother's nature to want to embrace a person she might have lost. "There is only a thin veil between the material world and the other world," she told 77 Square. "I've had a great journey inspired by ‘Resurrection.'"

During auditions, the show's director asked Fisher if he thought something like this could happen.  "It's a miracle," she remembers saying. "And I believe in miracles. We live on one tiny planet in a vast universe and we use 10 percent of our brains. If we were to open our minds to this, why couldn't it be possible?" she asks rhetorically.
