(KMSP) -

When Annie Hart and Lisa Arturo of the Bill Foundation received a call about a pit bull in desperate need of medical care, they headed out on a long journey to save its life.

Gideon had been living in an abandoned lot for several months – sick and struggling to survive. When Annie and Lisa arrived, he got nervous and ran to a nearby house where people had been feeding him.

After allowing the dog to calm down and get comfortable with them, they took Gideon to the Animal Wellness Center in Los Angeles. A veterinary exam showed Gideon had highly contagious bacterial and fungal infections, forcing him to remain quarantined while undergoing treatment.

GIDEON'S TRANSFORMATION

After 6 weeks of recovery, Gideon showed his true spirit – loving, happy-go-lucky and joyous.
