Weekend Roundup: Gym Crew Challenge & Long Beach Restaurant Week

Posted: Updated:

FOX 11's food and fun expert Mar Yvette searches the Los Angeles area for some of the best places to eat, drink, shop and have a great time. Featured guests then swarm our FOX Television Center parking lot every Thursday morning between 9am and 10am on Good Day LA, creating a big party as one jam-packed segment known as the Weekend Roundup!

Here's more information about the guests we featured:

Long Beach Restaurant Week

It's time to raise a fork to Eat LBC, Long Beach's first-ever Restaurant Week taking place March 30 – April 5. More than 50 eateries are participating in the citywide event including Open Sesame, one of the area's most popular spots for delicious, authentic Lebanese cuisine. Each restaurant offers special three-course, prix fixe menus available at either $26 or $38 per person. From the East Village to Naples Island, Bixby Knolls to Belmont Shore, Eat LBC is a celebration of all cuisines for locals and visitors alike. Bon appetit!

Gym Crew Challenge

The only dance competition for real people from real gyms across LA, Gym Crew Challenge is going to raise the roof this Saturday, March 29 at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood. In addition to dozens of teams competing on the big stage in front of celebrity judges, there will be performances by professional dance groups. Among those competing will be the dancers from Doonya: The Bollywood Inspired Workout and Momentum by Iron Fitness who are showing us some of their Bollywood moves this morning! For more information, visit www.gymcrewchallenge.com. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Sutter Zachman had his first record deal when he was barely out of his teens. You may have seen the Orange County native was on stage at the Largo and other hot clubs around LA. He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
