GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (AP) - Police say they've made an arrest in a fatal shooting at a crowded Long Island restaurant. Nassau County police said 21-year-old Tyshaun Phillips of the Bronx is charged with second-degree murder.

Two people were shot during a 3:30 a.m. altercation at a Garden City nightspot called Mint on March 16.

Police say one of the people who was shot, a 21-year-old Queens man, died last week. The second victim was expected to recover.

Phillips was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Thursday.

Defense attorney Ronald Nir said his client may not have been involved in the shooting. He said he was not aware if any of those involved in the altercation knew each other.

The lawyer said his client was arrested while attending a drug rehabilitation program.
