JetBlue plane makes emergency landing after bird strike

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - A JetBlue flight made an emergency landing at Kennedy Airport following a bird strike on Friday.

Flight 671 took off from Westchester County Airport and struck a bird shortly after take off.

The captain diverted the plane to JFK at about 10 a.m. where it landed safely, said JetBlue officials.

The plane with 142 passengers was headed for Palm Beach International Airport.

Customers were given the option of being put on another flight from JFK to PBI or taken back to Westchester County.
