When you find "the one" you hold on tight. But how do you know if you and your partner are the right match?
Pastor and Relationship Coach Derek Triplett broke down some of the signs to look for if you are in the right relationship.
He said first, you have to be good teammates. "If you're going to work, you're going to have to work together," Triplett said.
The next sign is to fight productively. Everyone fights, but Triplett said there is a difference between arguing and quarreling. You want to be on the same page and know how to handle conflict. He said never try to hurt one another.
Triplett said a third sign to look for is if you get a confidence boost from mutual physical attraction. He said this is especially for men, since they are visual. Some men think they are dating a "good woman" and they should want to be with her, instead of actually wanting to be with her and being attracted to her. He said if you are not attracted to your partner, eventually you will go after what you are attracted to.
Finally, he said it is important to be on the same page, but differences are important too. The person you are meant to be with should help enhance you. He said, "I love you for who you are, but enough not to let you stay that way." You should both be better because of each other.
