Philly Airport Workers Rally For Higher Wages

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia International Airport workers rallied for a pay raise on Friday.

They're calling for an increase from $7.25 an hour to $10.88.

Many airport workers say at their current pay they simply can't afford to make ends meet.

"I thought it was gonna be better, but it wasn't. I'm still seeing nothing on my check, and it's hard for me to take care of my family still," said Nikisha Watson, ACI Airway.

Philadelphia voters will vote on a pay raise for airport and other workers as part of a ballot question of the May 20 primary ballot.
