April 15th is the last day to file your taxes without penalty.
Certified financial planner Joe Bert shared some last minute tax tips. He said if you are not ready to file on the due date, make sure to go online and file an extension right away.
"Go to IRS.gov, you can pull the form off there or you can do it right online, and file an extension. And that buys you six months until October 15th," Bert said.
That will give you some time, but you still have to pay your taxes tomorrow if you owe money.
If you do not file by tomorrow, or do not pay what is owed, you can face a heft fine.
Bert said putting your taxes on your credit card is an option. But it is only a short-term solution. He said you still have to pay a charge and interest.
At this point, if you want to reduce your taxes, the only option is to put money into an IRA.
