Fox 35 is wishing you an "eggcelent" Easter with your family! Lifestyle expert Jamie O'Donnell shared some great ideas for planning an Easter brunch.
She ordered edible flowers from Whole Foods to liven up her food and decor. O'Donnell said they are reasonably priced and not just for high-end parties. She spread some crackers with a mixture of cream cheese, fresh dill and chives, and topped them with the flowers. She also froze the edible flowers in ice-cubes using an ice-cube tray for drinks.
O'Donnell also brought in cake pops and cupcakes, all Easter and floral-themed.
She said the key to party planning and decorating is keeping a thread of similarity throughout everything. She used pastel ceramics to hold all of her food and decor. Also, O'Donnell said you should never buy anything you will not use at least twice. She repurposed her turf tablecloth she bought for the Super Bowl and used it as a grass tablecloth. Most of the decorations she brought were all neutrals or pastels, so she can easily use them again.
