Epcot is hosting its annual International Flower and Garden Festival. David Martin got a behind-the-scenes sneak peak before the park opened.
This year's festival hosts a number of edible gardens, especially with plants native to Florida. The state is second in the country for growing produce, so Epcot features corn, strawberries and a number of other fruits and vegetables.
Epcot staff at the International Flower and Garden Festival will also show you how to attract butterflies to your garden. The festival includes a number of butterfly plants. Experts say if you want butterflies in your yard, you need both plants that butterflies eat and plants for them to lay their eggs.
The festival also features 11 kitchens, spread throughout the park. Food and drinks all include fresh-from-Florida ingredients.
The International Flower and Garden Festival is going on at Epcot from now through May 18th. For more information, visit www.epcotinspring.com
