Two teens hit in separate drive-by shootings

LAKELAND (FOX 13) -

Lakeland police investigating two separate drive-by shootings.

The first one happened around 3 p.m. on Brunell Parkway near George Jenkins Boulevard.

According to police, a suspect in a vehicle opened fire on another car.

A 15-year-old passenger was shot in the arm.

The driver took him to Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

While detectives were investigating the first shooting, another shooting occurred.

The second drive-by shooting happened at 2nd Street and Jewel Avenue.

The 15-year-old victim was standing outside when a vehicle drove by and fired several rounds hitting him in the back and arm.

He was airlifted to Tampa in critical condition.

There is no vehicle or suspect description in either case.
