He is the man behind the hair of many recognizable beauties including Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Kristen Stewart and Maria Sharapova. His love for his craft coupled with his passion to help women feel beautiful and confidant is the distinguishing gift that has made him a Hollywood hair icon.

The Undone Messy Summer Bun

• Begin by prepping hair with a Glossing Cream to give it some texture and definition. You don’t want hair to be too matte. You want to see the definition and texture come through when hair is pulled back to achieve that casual chic look.

• Pull hair into a loose pony-tail first.

• Twist and wrap the hair around the elastic and make sure the ends are tucked in to create some refinement.

• Secure with a few of the Gloria Haarpfeil hairpins. A must have for any updo, They are made with this unique angle that perfectly anchors the hair in place.

• The key is to pull out just a few pieces out around the front of the face to soften the look and frame the face.

• The best trick is to start by making a ponytail first because you then know the placement of the bun. This will create the structure and proportion.

• Depending on the look you are trying to achieve: the ponytail can be placed in the middle of the head, at the crown or low for a nape of the neck chignon style.

Retro modern ponytail.

A look Inspired by the 60’s - sleek with heights at the crown

• Begin by back-combing the hair at the crown to create height and structure.

• Gather your hair into a ponytail at the nape of the neck, pulling it straight back, so there's no part.

• Make sure your hair covers your ears, and leave a few pieces out in the front—it'll give the 60's inspired shape a cool, modern feel.

• You want more pieces on one side of your face than the other, so your face isn't perfectly framed. An easy way to achieve the effect is by pulling small section of the front pieces back one by one.

• After you've secured the ponytail, use your fingertips to gently push the hair at the crown forward, adding a touch more volume for that undone look.
