Larry King is not retired

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - "I never lost that curiosity for answers to the who, what, where, how and why," said legendary TV host Larry King.

The 80-year-old who grew up "poor" in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn with his mother and brother after his father died has not slowed down one bit after leaving his hit show, 'Larry King Live,' which aired on CNN for 26 years.

"I thought I'd spend more time with my young boys, have a relaxed life in Beverly Hills. I have a younger wife; see the world; do some speaking. But I was watching television and Osama Bin Laden was killed and I wanted to do a broadcast, but I had no where to go. My wife came up with the idea of network on the Internet so we formed 'Larry King Now' and we formed the Aura network," said King.

The half-hour daily show is distributed by Hulu.

"I love it," said King.

The top notch interviewer is also working for the Politicking TV network, Cumulus radio and hosts a show for the Dodgers once a month where he interviews ballplayers.

The man who always wanted to be a broadcaster, who would imitate radio announcers as a child, says he's still interested in what makes people tick.

After decades of success, King had some advice for Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto, hosts of the FOX 5 morning program, 'Good Day New York' -- that they try a gimmick, like his suspenders.

"You, a sarong, a wrap- around one piece in multi-colors. Sweep the hair back and sort of give a hint of an attraction with him; not that you're doing anything, but you might. Let them think that after this show you're not going your separate ways. (Greg) discard the jacket and the tie," said King jokingly.
