UCF Rugby team asking for donations to travel to National Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The University of Central Florida Rugby team is ready and qualified for the National Championships this year but they have one problem—traveling there is expensive.

The National Championship is in Serra Mall, CA at Stanford University on May 9-11th.

Team member Jason Sean Ross wrote this message for support, “It goes without saying that all of our success would not be possible without our rugby family, friends, and fans constant encouragement and support. This is why we call upon you once again to help us reach our goal. With your support we are confident that we will be able to repeat our success of last year and bring a second National Championship back to Orlando,”.

The team says they understand times are tough and money is tight and says whatever anyone gives is worth so much to them even if it’s just a kind word of motivation and encouragement.

Last year the team says they echoed to each other, “How can we fail when there are so many people believing in us?”
