ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Orange County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in a neighborhood near the University of Central Florida.
On Wednesday afternoon, deputies responded to a home on Paine Lane, where they were told three men got into a fight that turned deadly.
A 32-year-old man, identified as Antonio D. Roan, was stabbed to death during an altercation which witnesses said began on Tuesday evening.
According to detectives, 29-year-old Luis Aponte has been named as a suspect in the stabbing and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Roan. A tip led deputies to Aponte who has been cooperating in the investigation, authorities say.
Detectives determined that the third man was trying to break up the fight between the Roan and Aponte and faces no charges.
