CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A stray bullet went through a day care window where babies were being cared for on the South Side.

The bullet pierced a window and fortunately no one was hurt.

However, parents with kids at Granny's Day Care at 119th and Wentworth in Roseland said they were never told what happened when they picked up their children.

“This is my only grandbaby and I have eleven children, but like I said, no one called or told me anything, I didn't know, they always shooting around here and stuff so I mean, it's sad,” said Vonetta Lambert.

Parents who asked for details were told the children were all moved into another room after the shooting.

The owner was not available, and the manager refused to talk to FOX 32 News.

“For this to happen at the day care, they should have called myself or her mom,” said Catherine Griffin-Young, another grandmother.

The owner was not available, and the manager refused to talk to FOX 32 News.
