Man accused of murdering wife at Orlando-area park found dead
A man accused of killing his wife in front of the couple's three children at an Orlando-area park is dead, authorities say. The body of Julian Paris was discovered Thursday evening.
Deputies say 54-year-old Paris shot 34-year-old Liza Nicole Adderly multiple times at the Dr. Phillips Community Park on Wednesday afternoon. He fled in a white car. Adderly was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Deputies said Paris died from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body was found in Woodlawn Cemetery in Winter Garden around 7:30 p.m. Relatives had notified authorities that Paris might attempt to come to the grave of his teenage son, who died in a pedestrian accident along Kirkman Road in 2012.
Jane Watrel from the Orange County Sheriff's Office said, "His 17-year old son had died in a pedestrian accident in 2012. And we know that it caused a great deal of pain to the victim and Mr. Paris, so this was a place where his ex-wife and daughter thought that he might come. And he came out here tonight just to check it out. They saw a body and called us. We were told the body hadn't been here that long. And we just want the citizens of Orange County to know that this is a terrible situation. A mother is dead, children are orphaned, but a murder suspect is no longer on the loose,".
Authorities said the couple had recently separated and apparently had an argument earlier in the day, Wednesday. People at the park heard arguing coming from two cars in the parking lot. Then shots were fired. One of the children called 911
