Orlando police release sketch of College Park robbery suspect

Posted: Updated:
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Orlando police investigators have released a sketch of the suspect from the commercial robbery that occurred at a College Park Dunkin Donuts on last week.

Officers suspect that this is the same person who committed a robbery just down the street from the Dunkin Donuts, at a CVS pharmacy located at 2201 Edgewater Drive.  The CVS robbery happened on Easter Sunday.

Investigators on Tuesday released dramatic surveillance video from that Dunkin Donuts, hoping someone recognizes the suspect and gives them the name they need to make an arrest.

The video shows the masked man enter the store with his gun drawn.  He immediately grabs a customer and forces him into a corner of the counter before he hops over the counter with his pistol pointed at the cashier.  Seconds later, another camera catches the suspect holding a gun to two women in an office, forcing them to grab cash out of a safe and stuff it into takeout donut bags.

Orlando police detectives are working with investigators at the Orange County Sheriffs Office, thinking he could also be the same man who has hit drugstores, sandwich shops and cellphone stores around Orange County since December.  Investigators describe the suspect as a black man between the ages of 15 and 20.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect, or information about the crimes is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, which is presently up to $15,000.
