Another football player for the University of Central Florida is getting a shot at the NFL. UCF running back Storm Johnson was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday.
Johnson was picked in the seventh round of the NFL draft. Johnson is the 33rd Knight taken into the draft, and he is the second Knight to be selected this year.
On Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars also selected UCF's star quarterback Blake Bortles with the third pick in this year’s draft. Johnson and Bortles' draft is the first time in UCF history that two Knights have been selected by one team in the same NFL Draft.
The Jaguars open up their preseason schedule at home vs. Tampa Bay Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
