Universal Orlando Resort revealed all-new details about Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts - the new attraction found within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley Monday night.
Located within Universal Studios, the attraction will double the size of the area already dedicated to Harry Potter's adventures at Universal's Islands of Adventure, expanding it across both Universal theme parks.
It will create new experiences based on the signature areas of London, Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley from the fan favorite book and movie series.
Harry Potter and the "Escape from Gringotts" will be the signature ride of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley. It will be a multi-dimensional thrill ride that will place riders in the middle of an adventure as they navigate their way through the Gringotts vaults.
Like a scene out of the books, visitors will also be able to walk the streets where wizards and witches gather to buy school supplies like cauldrons, wands and even their quidditch brooms.
Just like Harry, Ron, and Hermoine you too must sneak into the Gringotts bank and retrieve a magical item.
Riders can expect a 60-foot dragon, a labyrinth of Gringotts vaults and a marble hall packed with goblins.
The ride is designed to use 360-degree themed sets, digital high-definition animation, 3-d projection systems and live special effects and the best news of all the ride and diagon alley are set to open this summer!
"Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts will be like no other attraction in the entire world," said Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative. "From the moment we saw Gringotts bank in the films, we knew we wanted to bring it to life for our guests - and we're doing this in a way the world has never seen before."
