More details about a fight between Panthers' player Greg Hardy and his girlfriend are coming out, after Hardy's arrest warrant was released.
The arrest warrant says Hardy strangled his girlfriend. It also says he grabbed her and and threw her to the floor, and slammed her into a bathtub and against a futon.
The girlfriend, Nicole Holder, took out a restraining order against Hardy. The restraining order gives her account of what happened. It says:
"Hardy picked me up and threw me into the tile tub area in his bathroom. I have bruises from head to toe, including my head, neck, back, shoulders, arms, legs, elbow and feet. Hardy pulled me from the tub by my hair, screaming at me that he was going to kill me, break my arms, and other threats that I believe."
The restraining order also says Hardy threw her onto a couch full of assault rifles. It says Hardy called for his assistant, Sammy Curtis, to hold Holder down, which he did.
A magistrate judge decided not to release Hardy Tuesday after he turned himself in because Hardy and his girlfriend have been living together. A bond determination order recommended Hardy be brought before a District Court Judge, which occurred Wednesday morning.
Judge Rebecca Tin ordered a $15,000 secured bond for Hardy's charge of assault on a female. She ordered a second bond for $2,000 for the communicating threats charge. Judge Tin also ordered Hardy go to 3 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings since he was drunk the night of the incident.
In court, Judge Tin acknowledged bruising and swelling on the victim, Hardy's girlfriend, and said the court was afraid for her.
