ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

It's all about the bonding bill Thursday on the floor of the Minnesota House.

THE MONEY: The $846 million borrowing and construction bill funds projects across the state. With the cash portion of the bill, it totals about $1.1 billion.

COLLEGE CAMPUSES WIN BIG: The University of Minnesota and MnSCU campuses are the major beneficiaries of the bonding bill.

- The Tate Laboratory of Physics at the U of M is earmarked for a $56 million renovation.

- Metropolitan State will likely get a new, $35 million science education center.

- MSU-Mankato is budgeted for a new $25 million clinical science center.

CIVIC FUNDING: Across the state, there are economic development goodies for a number of cities.

- Minneapolis will get $21.5 million to renovate Nicollet Mall (PHOTOS).

- Rochester is slated for $35 million to expand the Mayo Civic Center.

- St. Cloud gets $11.5 million to expand the River's Edge Convention Center

- $14.5 million will go toward expanding the Minnesota State Arena and Auditorium in Mankato.

- The bill also includes $22 million for the Lewis & Clark water pipeline to Luverne, Minn., but there may be a technicality with the federal matching funds that needs to get worked out Thursday.

SUPER-MAJORITY: The bonding bill needs a 3/5 super-majority to pass. If every DFLer votes in favor of the bill, it also needs 8 Republican votes to pass.
