Marietta Marine receives hero's homecoming

Posted: Updated:
MARIETTA, Ga. - A Marietta Marine returned home Sunday and received a hero’s welcome by his local community.

The streets were lined with red, white and blue for the love-filled homecoming of Lance Corporal Alex Judes.

Dozens of people and even a full band were there to welcome Judes with handshakes, hugs, and cheers.

Judes was injured while serving in Afghanistan and has spent the last five months undergoing multiple surgeries.

Judes said that he was overwhelmed by the support and it meant a lot to know that he had people waiting for him.
