JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A homeless teen will graduate from high school Sunday as class valedictorian.

18-year-old Griffin Furlong is a student at first coast high school.

Despite many setbacks, including being homeless at a young age and losing his mother to leukemia when he was just 6-years-old, Griffin is graduating with a 4.65 GPA.

Griffin says when times get tough he thinks of his mom.

The student plans on studying civil engineering at Florida State University.

A website for Griffin's college fund has been setup here: http://www.gofundme.com/9fa8uo
