TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Thrill-seekers will have to wait a little longer to ride the newest attraction at Busch Gardens. The park announced today that the debut of Falcon's Fury will be delayed again.

The ride consists of a 300-foot drop tower that promises a 60-mph heads-down plunge to the ground. But before anyone can free-fall like a falcon, the park has to finish testing the tower.

"Due to a delay in the fabrication of key component parts, neither the manufacturer nor Busch Gardens are able to complete the lengthy testing processes needed to open the ride to the public," explained a statement released by the park on Wednesday.

Though the rest of the re-imagined 'Pantopia' portion of the park has opened, there is no specific date for the centerpiece ride to open.

"We look forward to the launch of Falcon's Fury, North America's tallest freestanding drop tower, later this summer," the statement added.
