Diana DeGarmo Young & Ace Young: We Take What We Do Very Seriously

Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo are co-starring on stage here in Los Angeles in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.’

1) She is a singer/songwriter and a Broadway and television actress. She rose to fame in 2004 as the runner-up of the third season of American Idol. In 2005, DeGarmo began a career in musical theatre. DeGarmo also appeared on The Young and the Restless as "jersey girl" Angelina Veneziano. Since 2004, she has released a full album and two EPs.

2) She is married to American Idol fifth-season finalist and Broadway alum, Ace Young. She and her husband are currently starring in the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as The Narrator and Joseph respectively.

Ace Young:

1) After Young graduated from high school he wrote a song called "Reason I Live" that was featured on the soundtrack of the 2000 film "The Little Vampire.

2) In 2001, Young moved to Los Angeles, California to continue pursuing his music career. He initially worked as a cell phone and copier salesman, and also did home remodeling. In the evenings he made cold calls to music producers trying to get them to work with him. He ultimately met Brian McKnight and was given the chance to open for McKnight and New Edition. Just prior to auditioning for American Idol he landed a guest-starring role in an episode of Half & Half, playing a character named Ace Blackwell.

‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ will be at the Pantages Theater until June 22nd.
