Man stabbed in Chelsea subway station

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM - A 53-year-old man was stabbed repeatedly on a subway platform in Chelsea on Wednesday, according to police.

The victim was stabbed in the torso while standing on the platform for the southbound No. 1 train at the 18th Street station.

The stabbing occurred at about 5:30 a.m.

A group of men were involved in an argument on the platform when the man was attacked.  He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, but police say the suspects are three men.

The stabbing in Manhattan does not appear to be related to the deadly stabbings in Brooklyn over the weekend, said police.

The southbound No.1 train was bypassing the 18th Street Station during the Wednesday morning commute.

Everyone hates long lines at security checkpoints and the TSA knows it. Now the TSA is sponsoring a contest to encourage anyone with new ideas about how to make the airport security lines go faster. Often for air travelers, the security checkpoint experience is the worst part of their trip. That's why the TSA turned to the crowdsourcing site Innocentive asking for ideas pledging a total of $15,000 in prize money, with at least one $5,000 award.
