MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The fires broke out on Sunday morning in four separate mobile homes within the Lake and Meadows communities.

Firefighters were first called out to NE 40th Terrace at 4:11 a.m.

"I saw the flames coming through the floor and through the roof," said Louis Cayia, who lives next door to the first property.

Cayia said two strangers yelled for his family to wake up, get out, and call for help.

"Four o'clock in the morning, two dudes ran onto our property,” said Cayia. “They knocked on our door. One dude bolted that way and the other walked that way."

But two minutes later, firefighters were also called out to a lot on NE 167th Place. That mobile home was engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene.

Minutes later, crews were dispatched to a home on 42nd Avenue and then to a fourth mobile home on 58th Avenue.

In all, 40 firefighters from 10 different stations worked to put out the flames.

All of the homes were destroyed, but each was vacant.

Fire officials said no one was injured in any of the fires.

The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating each fire.
