CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A World War II captain, whose body was just identified, arrived on U.S. soil Wednesday.

The captain was flown on a flight from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to O’Hare International.

The plane had a water cannon salute when it landed. Several soldiers waited for the arrival of the captain’s body in order to honor his service.

The captain can now be buried in America and finally rest in peace.
