DWIGHT, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Authorities are asking for the public’s help to solve a double murder that left a mother and her adult daughter dead Saturday.

Donna J. Denker, 60; and her daughter, Kelli L. Denker, 30, were found shot in their home in the 200 block of West North Street in Dwight about 4:30 a.m. June 14, according to Illinois State Police and the Livingston County Coroner’s office.

A 23-year-old man was also shot, and remains in stable condition, authorities said Tuesday.

State Police are assisting Dwight police on the case, and “are making progress with some of the leads received,” police said.

“We are working around the clock with our law enforcement partner to locate the offender who committed this heinous crime,” Dwight Police Chief Tim Henson said in a statement.

The shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and police do not believe the public or community is in danger, police said.

Dwight is located about 40 miles west of Kankakee.

Anyone with information should call the Dwight police hotline at (815) 584-3132.
